Sarah Levett

Radio Announcer/Stand-Up Comedian/MC/Writer/Actor

Sarah grew up surrounded by comedy, not because it was a funny household, but because her Mother operated the 'Comedy Agency', and managed some of the best comedians in Sydney. Sarah regularly went to the Comedy Store, television stations and comedy venues from the age of eight. Sarah learned to "banter with the boys" as part of her everyday life.

It's not surprising that comedy became Sarah's choice of careers. For some people, grabbing a briefcase and heading to an office may be the norm, but for Sarah grabbing a Mic and making people laugh is what she came to understand as the meaning of "all in a days work".

Sarah studied acting, singing and dancing during her younger years, but then tried comedy at a NIDA summer school and she was addicted! She loved acting, but comedy was special to her - being in charge of her entire performance, writing her material, directing her show, thinking on her feet and interacting with the audience. For the last few years Sarah was working for Nova 969 as part of the "street team" (Casanovas) where she would write and deliver crosses that went to air, drawing on her improvisation, comedy writing and performance skills. She was also a regular MC for Nova events. Sarah spent 2008 in Geelong as the Co-Host of the Breakfast show - "The Sarah and Matt Show". Sarah is now the new Breaky Co-Host on 105.3 New FM.

With hundreds of shows to her credit, Sarah is one of the few female comics working the circuit today. Career achievements below…
